B-8S
The B-8S Guitar Wireless System is a professional-grade solution in NUX’s PRO Series. Built on our third-generation platform, it combines anti-interference tech, intelligent frequency hopping, 1MHz narrowband transmission, Audio Zip/Unzip, six stability levels, and a true-diversity dual-antenna design for rock-solid, reliable signal. The latest firmware further improves wireless performance with better transmission efficiency and stronger interference resistance.
Designed for guitars, basses, and any instrument with a 1/4″ output, the system pairs a beltpack transmitter with a multifunction pedal receiver. It operates at 2.4 GHz, supports auto-pairing, delivers 24-bit / 48 kHz audio, achieves latency down to 2.5 ms, and reaches up to 165 ft (50 m) line-of-sight. The transmitter’s built-in lithium battery provides up to 6.5 hours of runtime! Enough for rehearsals, sessions, and gigs.

Intelligent Frequency Hopping
While in use, the B-8S automatically scans the 2.4 GHz band and switches to the cleaner channel when interference is detected, ensuring a stable connection and clear audio throughout your performance.
1 MHz Narrowband Transmission for Improved Spectrum Efficiency
The B-8S system reduces the channel bandwidth from 2 MHz to 1 MHz, significantly improving utilization of the 2.4 GHz frequency band and increasing the number of available channels to up to 79. This gives the intelligent frequency-hopping technology more channel options to effectively avoid interference from Wi-Fi and other wireless devices. Even in environments with a high density of wireless equipment, the B-8S delivers stable and reliable signal transmission.
For bands with multiple guitarists, up to 10 B-8S systems can be used simultaneously while maintaining optimal wireless performance and signal stability.
6-Level Stability and Audio Zip/Unzip
The B-8S offers six stability levels, with latency ranging from 2.5 ms to 8.7 ms. Higher stability levels increase the number of signal transmissions, with up to 12 transmissions occurring within 8.7 ms. Since interference varies over time, more frequent transmissions can help reduce interference-related issues.
The B-8S uses Audio Zip/Unzip technology to deliver 24-bit / 48 kHz audio quality, ensuring clear and stable sound in combination with its six-level stability settings.
The 1 MHz Zip technology enhances anti-interference performance. It works like a motorcycle using a narrow 1 MHz lane to navigate smoothly through traffic on a crowded 2.4–2.483 GHz highway, compared with a wider 4 MHz truck.
Unzip technology preserves high-resolution sound quality without compromise.
Beltpack
Transmitter
The compact beltpack clips easily onto a strap or pocket. Its jack design prevents rotation and loosening, keeping the plug securely in place even during energetic movement.
The B-8S is compatible with electric guitars, electro-acoustic guitars, basses, and other instruments equipped with pickups.
Cable Tone
The TX features a cable tone simulation which is normally used by some guitar players to get a warmer sound. If you want it, you can flip the switch and turn it on.
A Multifunction Pedal Receiver
The B-8S combines multiple practical features into a single unit, including wireless transmission, a tuner, a junction box, boost and buffer functions, DI functionality, a guitar input, and a magnetic charging port for the transmitter.
This all-in-one design simplifies stage setup and signal management, improving workflow and enhancing live performance efficiency.

The pedal receiver has a magnetic charging port. Just place the transmitter on it to start charging—no plugs needed. The magnetic connection is secure and lets you quickly recharge during breaks.
Junction Box with Buffer
A built-in Send/Return loop, Input/Output interfaces, and buffer function simplify effects connections, optimize cable routing, and ensure a stable signal, making pedalboard setup easier and neater.
DI Output to the Mixer
The B-8S also features a professional-grade DI output with a balanced XLR connection, reducing signal loss and noise while improving overall sound quality.
No additional equipment is required, making setup simple and convenient for both live performance and recording.
Receiver Power
Supports a standard 9 V / 500 mA or 12 V / 500 mA (center-negative) power supply used by most pedals. It is recommended to use the power adapter included in the package to reduce noise and ensure stable, clear audio.
LCO VS NCM
Why LCO Fits Compact Wireless Devices Better
Lithium Cobalt Oxide · Nickel Cobalt Manganese · Small-Cell Segment
| Parameter | LCO Lithium Cobalt Oxide |
NCM Nickel Cobalt Manganese |
|---|---|---|
| Energy Density | 150–200 Wh/kg Higher volumetric density; more capacity per unit volume |
150–220 Wh/kg High-nickel variants reach the ceiling, but gap narrows sharply in small cells |
| Real-World Durability (No BMS) |
Superior in Practice High tolerance for non-ideal charge conditions; stable lifespan without precision BMS; resists early failure |
Better Lab Numbers Higher theoretical cycle count, but high-nickel NCM demands tight voltage control; accelerated degradation without BMS |
| Swelling / Deformation Risk |
Low Risk Stable crystal structure; low swelling rate; mature ultra-thin cell process |
Moderate Risk High-nickel electrolyte is more reactive; requires tighter BMS management |
| Primary Applications |
Thin Consumer Electronics Bluetooth earbuds · Wearables Wireless audio devices · E-cigarettes Wireless instrument accessories |
Power & Industrial Power tools · Drones E-bikes · Energy storage Medical equipment |
| Form Factor / Thinness |
Ultra-Thin Advantage Achievable at 2–3mm cell thickness; ideal for slim chassis design |
Standard Thickness Primarily cylindrical/prismatic; limited flexibility for thin-form |
| Cost | Higher Cobalt raw material is volatile, but small-cell process is mature |
Lower Diversified raw material mix; better pricing leverage at scale |
Technical Conclusion
For 400–600 mAh: LCO Remains the Optimal Choice for Thin Devices
In the 400–600 mAh range, NCM’s lab cycle numbers look impressive — but in micro-devices without a precision BMS, high-nickel NCM’s structural fragility becomes a critical liability. LCO’s tolerance for non-ideal charging, its flatter voltage discharge platform, and its mature ultra-thin cell process make it the clear winner for Wireless effects units, Bluetooth audio devices, and other small consumer electronics where no BMS exists. Real-world durability, not lab data, determines product life.
High BMS-Free Tolerance
LCO withstands cutoff voltage deviations that high-nickel NCM cannot; stable lifespan without protection circuitry — NCM accelerates degradation in identical conditions
Flatter Voltage Platform
LCO’s discharge curve stays flat longer; micro-devices extract every usable mAh without complex step-down circuits — translating to noticeably longer perceived battery life
Ultra-Thin · Anti-Swelling
2–3mm cell achievable; even minor NCM swelling in a tight chassis causes housing damage — an unacceptable failure mode. LCO’s structural stability eliminates this risk entirely
Energy Gap Disappears
At this capacity range, volumetric density differences are negligible — no reason to accept NCM’s structural trade-offs for a theoretical advantage that no longer exists
