B-7 PRO
STEREO WIRELESS IN-EAR MONITOR SYSTEM
Stereo Wireless In-Ear Monitor System
for live performances
The B-7 Pro Stereo Wireless In-Ear Monitor System is a professional-grade wireless solution from NUX’s Pro Series, designed for connecting to the Aux output or main output of a mixer or audio interface, or to the headphone output of a multi-channel digital personal mixer used in live performances. It enables stereo wireless monitoring, making it ideal for bands or solo performers during rehearsals, live shows, and live streaming for monitoring purposes.
NUX’s Pro Series it combines anti-interference tech, intelligent frequency hopping, 1MHz narrowband transmission, Audio Zip/Unzip, three stability levels, and a true-diversity dual-antenna design for rock-solid, reliable signal. The system automatically selects the cleanest channel, effectively avoiding interference to ensure stable and clear signals—perfect for environments with a high density of wireless devices. The intelligent frequency-hopping technology is especially well-suited for 1-to-1 personal monitoring applications.
High Quality Stereo Audio Monitor
As an upgraded version of the entry-level B-7 PSM, the B-7 Pro offers significant performance improvements. It supports stereo or mono audio transmission, with stereo data processing being twice that of mono. It delivers 24-bit / 48 kHz high-resolution audio, a frequency response range of 20–20 kHz, and ultra-low latency as low as 7.33 ms, providing a clearer and more natural monitoring experience.
NEW Firmware Version V1.0.6 adds
Earphone EQ and phase inversion features
- New 5 earphone EQ Presets: Great for easing ear canal occlusion and achieving a clearer, more comfortable singing experience.
- New phase inversion function: In complex stage environments, it helps prevent phase cancellation caused by sound pickup or monitor mixing. With quick correction, it reduces low-frequency loss or excessive buildup.
5 earphone EQ Presets
Fearless Against the Occlusion Effect
When singing with in-ear monitors, sound waves resonate inside the ear canal, creating the occlusion effect, which amplifies frequencies below about 1000 Hz and makes the sound feel muffled. Singers may perceive their own voice as “booming,” leading to misjudgment of pitch and volume. To address this issue, the system is equipped with multiple in-ear EQ presets, effectively reducing the occlusion effect. The result is a clearer, more natural sound that helps you perform with greater confidence on stage.
You can freely switch between five different in-ear EQ curves to suit various performance environments and personal listening preferences.
Phase Inversion
In complex stage environments, multiple sound sources or overlapping monitor mixes may cause phase cancellation, leading to low-frequency loss or excessive buildup in certain ranges. The B-7 Pro is equipped with a phase inversion function, allowing you to quickly adjust phase in the menu to achieve a more balanced and clear monitoring sound.
You can freely switch between five different in-ear EQ curves to suit various performance environments and personal listening preferences.
Intelligent Frequency Hopping
While in use, the B-7 Pro automatically scans the 2.4 GHz band and switches to the cleaner channel when interference is detected, ensuring a stable connection and clear audio throughout your performance.
3-Level Stability and Audio Zip/Unzip
The B-7 Pro offers 3 levels of stability (7.33 / 10.85 / 14.33 ms). Higher stability levels increase the number of signal transmissions, with up to 12 transmissions every 14.33 ms. (Since interference is time-varying, more frequent transmissions can help avoid interference issues.)
The stereo B-7 Pro can simultaneously process both left and right audio channels. Compared to other 2.4 GHz mono wireless systems, its data processing count is more than double. Powered by NUX’s advanced Audio Zip/Unzip technology, it delivers 24-bit / 48 kHz high-quality audio even within a narrow 1 MHz bandwidth, while supporting a full frequency response of 20 Hz–20 kHz. The result is a wider, more natural, and truly immersive stereo experience.
Operating range up to 165 ft
Two antennas on both transmitter and receiver are used to automatically pick the strongest signal, preventing dropouts and dead spots. With frequency hopping, 1MHz narrowband, and three level stability settings, it stable operating range up to 165 ft (50 meters) for smooth, reliable audio.
High-Definition Color LCD Display
The B-7 Pro features a high-definition color LCD display. The 2.4-inch screen shows battery levels, input volume and settings in real time for easy monitoring and quick adjustments.
Performance & Comparison
Long battery lifetime
The B-7 Pro features large Li-ion batteries inside both the transmitter and receiver. The battery life lasts up to 6 hours.
Magnetic Charging Port
Easy recharging, the transmitter has a magnetic charging port—just place the receiver on it to start charging, no plugs needed. The magnetic connection is secure and allows you to quickly recharge during breaks.
Application
Two 1/4-inch or XLR combo jacks support left and right stereo input. They accept balanced XLR or unbalanced 1/4-inch audio signals, with a maximum input level of +22dBu. You can connect a mixer or an audio interface, or use the 1/8-inch Aux input to connect an MP3 player, cellphone, or other digital personal mixer.
USB audio recording
By connecting the B-7 Pro’s TX (transmitter) to your cellphone or computer, you can use the B-7 Pro as a USB interface for recording. No matter what you play with a band on stage, you can record all the sounds you hear from the monitor. Enjoy!
Reminder
If using the B-8 with the B-7 Pro, keep the B-8 TX away from the B-7 Pro RX to avoid interference. For example, wear the B-8 TX on your strap and place the B-7 Pro RX on the opposite side of your body (see image).
Customize your own Boot-up picture
You can customize the boot-up picture with a GIF. Download the “NUX GIF Customizer” app and follow these steps. Download and install “NUX GIF Customizer” from the Support section. Connect B-7 Pro DISPLAY and set BOOT-UP PICTURE to USER.
Fixture Clamp
You can use the NUX NFC-01 Fixture Clamp or other compatible camera clips to attach the transmitter to a microphone stand or drum rack. The B-7 Pro transmitter can also be connected via XLR cable and placed near the musician.
